European Parliament event with PsychedeliCare: “Unlocking the potential of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies for Europe’s Mental Health crisis”

Our first gathering at the European Parliament of the year, this event marks two significant occasions: the official launch of the PsychedeliCare European Citizen’s Initiative campaign to gather the one million signatures required to bring their call for advancing psychedelic therapies to the European Commission ; and the re-establishment of PAREA’s MEP Action Group on Psychedelics in Healthcare, focused on driving policy change to advance evidence-based mental health innovation in Europe.

Hosted by MEP Tilly Metz (Greens/EFA) and co-hosted by MEP Tomislav Sokol (EPP), the event will unite policymakers, civil society, clinicians, researchers, and patient representatives and showcase a call to action for European innovation in promising psychedelic therapies in response to limited treatment options and unmet needs. The program will cover the current state of scientific research and emphasise real-world lived experiences and patient voices in order to build awareness, momentum and engagement for psychedelic therapies in Europe.
