There is a growing belief that research around the potential of psychedelics is finally making key policymakers within the European Parliament stand up and take notice. With organisations like PAREA now facilitating meaningful conversations which could lead to a shift in perception, how could the EU take a central role in driving psychedelic healthcare to become a reality across Europe? PSYCH Symposium's panel of change-makers and MEPs discussed how far the needle has moved and which actions are needed to bring about an evolution in approach.

On 6th December, PAREA organized our first policy meeting in the European Parliament, looking at the basic ingredients of psychedelic novel treatments captured in the event’s title: “Psychedelic-assisted therapies in the treatment of brain disorders”.
