PAREA at LaPsyConf 2025: shaping the future of mental health in Latin America
In October, PAREA participated in LaPsyConf 2025, the first international conference in Buenos Aires dedicated to rethinking mental health, longevity, and emerging therapeutics.
Tadeusz Hawrot, Founder of PAREA, delivered the opening address titled “Global Issues: Mental Health Indicators, Global Regulation, and Economic Impact.” Drawing on his experience with the World Health Organization and the European Union, he explored how global data, regulation, and economics shape the evolving landscape of mental healthcare.
Over three days, LaPsyConf gathered more than 20 world-renowned experts, including Rick Doblin, Professor David Nutt, Spencer Hawkswell, Chris Timmermann, and Bia Labate, Ph.D., to bridge science, innovation, and nature through panels, masterclasses, and immersive sessions.
With its deep roots in plant medicine and psychedelic traditions, Latin America offered a powerful context for global dialogue on evidence-based, ethical, and sustainable approaches to mental health.
PAREA was proud to join LaPsyConf as a Media Partner, supporting collaboration between researchers, policymakers, and innovators shaping the future of mental health worldwide.
Congratulations to María Soledad Ferré, Agustin Fernandez Viña, Gabriela Genovese, and Victoria Costa Paz for bringing this landmark event to life.
