PAREA Supports the Psychedelic Lived Experiences Summit
Centering patients and bridging science with real-world perspectives.
PAREA is a supporting partner of the Psychedelic Lived Experiences Summit, taking place November 21–23. This free, online event focuses on the realities of psychedelic care by placing lived experience at the center of the conversation.
The summit brings together more than 50 speakers, including patients, therapists, and researchers from institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Imperial College London, McGill University, University of Ottawa, and Monash University. It is designed to reflect the full spectrum of experiences with psychedelic-assisted therapy, not just the simplified narratives often seen in public debate.
The program includes live Q&As, interviews, and interactive sessions on topics such as patient safety, clinical ethics, and the challenges of integrating psychedelic treatments into mental health systems. Confirmed contributors include Bessel van der Kolk, Janis Phelps, Michael Mithoefer, Rosalind Watts, and others working at the intersection of science and care.
Attendees will be able to:
✓ Hear directly from patients and trial participants
✓ Learn from clinicians and researchers with on-the-ground experience
✓ Explore risks, limitations, and opportunities in real-world settings
✓ Engage with topics shaping the next phase of psychedelic care
