Welcoming Finnish Association for Psychedelic Studies to our Community Supporters network
We are delighted to welcome the Finnish Association for Psychedelic Studies (Psyty) to the PAREA Community Supporters network.
Research in recent years suggests that psychedelics may hold notable potential as part of the treatment of refractory psychiatric disorders and global interest in their mechanisms and applications is accelerating. In this context, Psyty is a multidisciplinary association that works to promote scientific research related to psychedelics and the availability of accessible, research-based information.
As a major part of its activities, Psyty organizes symposia, lectures, and networking events to improve scientific and professional expertise. Its executive committee and active membership include professionals and students from medicine, psychology, sociology, and other fields. Psyty welcomes new members from diverse academic backgrounds. The association is fully volunteer-run, with funding derived from membership fees and proceeds from events.
By joining PAREA’s Community Supporters, the Finnish Association for Psychedelic Studies adds valuable capacity to a growing network advancing safe, ethical, and evidence-based approaches to psychedelic therapies and mental health innovation across Europe. We look forward to collaborating on knowledge exchange, public education, and policy dialogue.
We warmly welcome Psyty to the PAREA network and look forward to continuing our collaborations!
