PAREA at PSY-NET meeting in Lisbon

This week, the PAREA team was in Lisbon for two events organised by Champalimaud Foundation.

Tadeusz Hawrot and Francisca Silva, attended the internal COST Action PSY-NET Clinical working group (WG3) meeting, dedicated to "Uniting pathways in psychedelic clinical trials".

They also took part in the afternoon symposium "Keeping the psychedelic promise: From bench to bedside", which explored, from a clinical research perspective, what it takes to bring psychedelic therapies into everyday practice safely, rigorously, and at scale.

This was the second PSY-NET gathering with PAREA participation, following the Non-clinical working group (WG2) meeting held in July as a satellite event to the annual FENS Forum, in Barcelona. PSY-NET is an EU-funded platform bringing together professionals working across sectors in psychedelic science and development. It aims to strengthen coordination in psychedelic research across Europe, enable multicentre clinical trials and open-access data sharing, and help establish the conditions needed for the future implementation of psychedelic therapies in mental health care.
