PAREA's 2025 Annual Report is live!

PAREA's annual Impact Report, compiling all our activities, contributions and achievements for the year of 2025, is now available!

2025 was a year of clear acceleration for psychedelic therapies and mental health innovation across Europe, and PAREA played a central role in shaping the policy landscape.

Some highlights:

In 2025, we contributed to major milestones — from the re-launch of the MEP Action Group on Psychedelics in Healthcare, to the publication of two landmark policy papers calling for a European Mental Health Moonshot.

Notably, PAREA met directly with EU Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva for Research and Innovation, received an official reply from President von der Leyen, and co-authored publications with the EMA and WHO.

Our engagement contributed to Horizon Europe allocating €50 million to innovative mental health interventions, and to the revised pharmaceutical legislation recognising mental health within the definition of unmet medical needs. We also launched a first-of-its-kind initiative to seek the development of regulatory sandbox pilots for psychedelic therapies in Europe.

Equally central to our mission were our communications, events and community-building efforts. PAREA participated in forums from Davos to Denver, organised policy events in Brussels, deepened engagement with Ukraine — supporting legislative progress and professional education — and expanded our network with new full members and community supporters. Our website reached 9.3K unique visitors and 19K pageviews from 100 countries across 6 continents.

This report is not just a summary of our progress, but a reflection of the field's momentum and the brilliant community behind it.
